You decided to write a book. Congratulations, that's great! A book can give you recognition and help you to draw more clients to your business. If those are your only reasons, then it would be important to write your book fast. However, if you are just focusing on having a book fast, you might miss one of the best reasons for having a book...and that is to make money.
The quick and easy way to attract more recognition and clients is "slowing down and taking the time to create a bestselling business around your book", says book business expert DrProactive Randy Gilbert. DrProactive says you will end up with a more money, a better book, and a continuing stream of income far in excessive of what the book alone would have earned.
It can make you a bestselling author, and a millionaire at the same time, which is why DrProactive named "bestselling business". He recommends using the following 3 steps to create an information business around your book.
Step 1:
Make a list of the top 10 benefits (20 is better) you can provide for your clients. Next write down 7 methods to make those benefits happen (i.e. the tools, tips, and short-cuts that help solve their problems in your area of expertise). These will become your Table of Contents and are now your guide to writing your book's content.
Step 2:
Create information products from your expert knowledge that will be going into your book. One of the fastest products to create is a Teleseminar.
Ask someone with an e-mail list (friend or JV partner) to interview you over the phone and invite their followers to listen. This is good for you and them, because they get good free content to give to their list, and you get a sound file that can be transcribed as part of your book. A one hour phone interview could become an entire chapter of your book. Repeat the process for each chapter in your Table of Contents, and your book will be done in no time.
There are at least six other optional products that will help you write your book and make money at the same time. Each of these options will help you to Pre-Sell your books before they are published. You can become an automatic bestselling author if you use these strategies to get enough pre-sales. You'll get more clients and recognition by achieving bestseller status than you would by just being an author.
Step 3:
Do one proactive thing a day using the 80-20 rule as a guide to what will have the most impact. One hour a day would be wonderful but at least half an hour would be great. Even on your busiest days, try to do at least 10 minutes at some point. Don't focus on perfection, just take action. Write a first draft, find an editor or revise it yourself.
Change your plan of action and start creating a bestselling business to write your book. In 90 to 180 days, you will have the first draft of a great if you follow these steps, and you'll have a nice passive income and enough copies sold to become a bestseller as soon as it's published.
There is no time like the present. Take your book idea and start building a bestselling business around it today. By doing so, you will be quickly writing your bestselling book and creating a million dollar business at the same time.
